Benefits

  • Special packages and rates negotiated for all our members at Martin’s Funerals & Mosaic Funeral.
  • All members on R20 000, R25 000, R30 000, R40 000 and R50 000 options qualify for free Legal Advice.
  • We also offer a Continuation Plan for our members leaving their employer.
  • Transferred members: No new waiting period will apply provided existing waiting periods with previous scheme had been completed. This applies to both the basic and extended family members. In the event a transferred member upgrades their cover with Prospercare the relevant waiting periods for the upgraded benefit will apply.
  • Compulsory schemes (minimum 100 employees in the company): No waiting period for basic family.
  • Voluntary schemes: A general 3 (three) OR 6 (six) months waiting period, depending on the chosen plan at inception, will apply for death due to natural causes for basic family. (Please refer to T&C’s)
  • Extended family: Age 0 – 94 six (6) months waiting period applies for death due to natural causes and immediate cover for accidental death.
  • Plan B, C, D, and E on extended family is only available if the member selected basic family cover of R20 000, R25 000, R30 000, R40 000 and R50 000.
  • Plan F on extended family is only available if the member selected basic family cover of R25 000, R30 000, R40 000 or R50 000.
  • Please note that premiums are payable in advance and will be deducted from your salary via your employer’s payroll on a monthly basis.
  • Additional benefits also include the Beef Product Plan and the Tombstone Cash Benefit.
  • Policy benefits can be upgraded and/or downgraded at any time.
  • Exclusive to our members on the R30 000, R40 000 and R50 000 cover options: Prospercare will transfer R50 airtime and 50 SMS’s to the beneficiary to assist with Funeral arrangements for the principal member.
